Set me free, home, sweet home

We’re in the Santa Fe Regional Airport… rental car returned, bags checked, past security, and we are still two whole hours early for this flight. This place is small, yet efficient. Where else can you sit outside after going through security?

The wedding was beautiful, and so were Frankie and Meredith ❤️ Somehow I didn’t get a picture of us all dressed up, but you know what we look like… ☺️

The wedding began with a performance from the Grammy award-winning Black Eagle Singers. How cool is this?

Friday and Saturday we continued to roam around Santa Fe. Here are the amazing sights…

Chile ristras drying in the sun at Oscar’s Tree Service. Ristras are a symbol of welcome and represent abundance, hospitality, and good luck.
I want to believe in Pavito!
‘Sup, Allsup’s?
Interesting political vehicle easing down Main Street
Painted column outside of the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA)
Beautiful hanging plants in this little park
The best damn ginger vanilla chai in Santa Fe at the Teahouse & Bistro
Pretty darn good breakfast, too

We ended the trip with a fancy, Kersker-exclusive dinner at Geronimo and then a bonfire back at the El Rey.

Now it’s just one hour until we board the plane on our first ever first class flight back to the friends and family we miss so much.

Counting down the minutes (obviously) and hoping to find something fresh to eat at this tiny, two gate airport!

Love you, miss you, especially Stella. Hang tight babe, we’re almost home! ❤️

UPDATE: Nothing fresh at the Santa Fe airport…

We’re still in Dallas waiting to come home. Flight and gate have been bumped numerous times and are about to be again.

Forever taking Pete’s advice and taking the first flight out… then we’ll get home the same day!

Baby Jesus, give me strength to get through the work day tomorrow…
