We did, we stormed Pena Palace as hard as we could, and so did one million other tourists! There was so much vehicle and pedestrian traffic it was overwhelming… but we did get to look at a lot of beautiful things inside and out…

I got to use my favorite Portuguese word, “sandwiche,” which was a highlight.
That event took so long all we could do afterwards was eat some really good grilled Portuguese pizza, and come back to the barracks.
I fell asleep in the front seat of the Uber. I mean I was like, bent over, letting the waves of the motion of the car take me, mouth open… poor driver, he must have thought I needed an AED.
Chris and I bought some more artwork for the wall space we don’t have…

Kaylie chose the restaurant for the final night, and she chose well! Monte Mar Lisboa. Forgot to get a group photo, but it was on the ocean and lovely and the food was delish!

Then we took our 864th Uber ride of the trip home where I have now collapsed into the bed wearing my Lisbon cable car sweatshirt. This sweatshirt may be the best 30 euros I’ve spent so far… then again no, I have no regrets about every pastais de nata I’ve purchased!
Miss you, love you! ❤️
