She’s tres jolie, but is she seaworthy?

We did a lot again today, and some of it you won’t see until later because my goddamn phone wouldn’t cooperate and I had to use Mom’s to take some photos.

Anyway, Mom and the gang had a good ol’ American-style breakfast at a place called, “Breakfast Lovers” which could not be more apropos. They don’t have syrup there, which was not a problem for Stella, whose pancakes came with caramel and ice cream on top. Jesus Christo.

We spent the morning at the Convento do Carmo, where we saw so many amazing things…

That toy is not appropriate for a baby!

Then we moved on to the Castelo de Sao Jorge where we saw a gorg pano view of the city and climbed all over the ramparts…

We also saw one million peacocks who were hungry for churros. No scraps here, babe.

Then we had lunch at a terrace restaurant…

Chris actually ate the Iberian Pork Secrets, even though no one really like secrets about their meal, do they?

… and walked back to the hotel to get our steps in after scarfing down the daily pastais de nata (well some of us, mainly me!).

Yes, it IS that steep! Everyone is killing it with their step count and their elevation gain!

After a quick respite we went for a sunset cruise/tour of the Tagus River which some people had feelings about, but I can’t tell you any more until I get the accompanying pics!

UPDATE: Wednesday afternoon re: Tuesday evening…

So, yesterday we boarded a sailboat and toured the river until the sun went down. Was beautiful.

Wasn’t really a guided tour though, as the fellas taking us around only told us about the sights when we asked about them. They also didn’t have snacks, which was sad. But look at these views!!

My arms aren’t really that long…
